Offices

A larger brokerage runs from more than one location. Offices let you model that hierarchy in Realm: each office is a branch with its own designated broker, its own agents, and its own REALMS, so you can filter compliance and reporting by office. Offices live in Brokerage Settings → Offices and are managed by brokers and admins.

Offices sit above Teams. An office is a coarser, location-based grouping — one office can contain several teams. Use offices for branches/locations, and teams for the working groups inside them.

Creating an office

  1. Open Brokerage Settings and go to the Offices tab.
  2. Click Create Office.
  3. Give it a name and address, and (optionally) pick a **designated broker** from your org's members.
  4. Save. The office appears in the list on the left; select it to open its detail panel on the right.

The detail panel has three tabs — Overview, Members, and Audit — sitting next to the list, so you never leave the page.

Designated broker

Each office can name a designated (managing) broker — the person responsible for that branch. You pick them from your workspace members, so the same person can hold different roles across offices. This is who compliance and oversight roll up to for that location.

Assigning agents and REALMS

  • Members — from the office's Members tab, add the agents who work out of that branch. Each agent belongs to at most one office.
  • REALMS — a transaction can be assigned to an office too, so a branch's production and compliance are attributable to it. Each REALM belongs to at most one office.

Because members and REALMS carry an office, brokers can slice compliance health, reporting, and oversight by office — the branch-level view a multi-location brokerage needs.

History

Every office change — created, edited, archived, broker assigned, member added or removed — is written to an append-only audit trail, so you can always see who changed what and when. Archiving an office keeps it on record; it doesn't delete anyone's account or their work.
