Brokerage settings
Brokerage Settings is the Workspace-level hub — it configures your whole organization, not just your account. It's available to brokers, admins, and (for some tabs) team leads. This is where you invite people, build teams, set commission, and decide what every new Realm requires.
This is the Workspace scope. Changes here affect everyone in your brokerage. Your personal settings live on the separate General settings page.
The brokerage setup checklist
When you open Brokerage Settings, a "Set up your brokerage" checklist sits at the top showing "X of N essentials configured." It's a guided path through the settings a new brokerage needs, and each row opens the right place to finish it. It checks itself off automatically once the underlying setup exists — you never tick boxes by hand. The essentials:
- Invite your agents — add the people who'll work in your brokerage.
- Create a commission plan — the split and caps new agents inherit.
- Define your teams — group agents under their team leads.
- Set up a lead source — tell Realm where your leads come from.
- Add a routing rule — decide who new leads go to automatically.
- Confirm a document pack — the docs every new Realm should require.
- Build a Transaction Template — bundle docs, milestones, and reminders into one reusable transaction blueprint.
Once everything's done, the checklist collapses to a small "all set" note you can dismiss.
The tabs
Across the top you'll find: General (org name, license, branding, timezone), REALM Settings, Offices, Users & Roles, Teams, Commission, Goals, Lead Sources, Routing Rules, AI / Eve, Connect Templates, Vendors, and Vault. Compliance is its own focused section, reached via the section switcher in the header (see Compliance overview).
A few tabs worth calling out:
- Offices — for a multi-office brokerage, group agents and REALMS under branch offices, each with a designated broker. Offices are a coarser grouping above Teams. See Offices.
- AI / Eve — set the workspace autonomy ceiling (the most any member's EVE may do on its own) and turn automations on or off. Each member then picks their own Suggest / Guided / Autopilot mode at or below your ceiling. See Suggest / Guided / Autopilot.
- Vault — org-wide archive settings for sealed, closed REALMS. See Vault overview.
REALM Settings sub-tabs
The REALM Settings tab is where you define what your transactions look like before a single Realm exists. It has five sub-tabs:
- Transaction Templates — the top-level blueprint. A Transaction Template bundles the documents a Realm requires, the tasks it creates, the intake questions it asks, and the compliance rules it enforces into one reusable thing your team applies to a Realm. See Transaction Templates.
- Document Packs — the lists of documents a Realm requires. They show up inside a Realm under Documents → Apply Pack, and Transaction Templates attach them. See Document packs.
- Task Packs — the tasks Realm creates automatically once a Realm goes under contract — your transaction-coordinator-grade plan, editable per side you represent.
- Intake — the questions Realm asks about each property (well, septic, propane, HOA, solar…). The answers drive conditional documents and tasks. You can relabel, reorder, disable, or add your own.
- Compliance Packs — the governance layer: broker rules, stage gates, and automations enforced across every agent and team. See Compliance packs.
A Document pack is just a checklist of required documents. A Compliance pack is the enforcement layer — rules, gates, and broker review. They're different things; don't confuse them. The Glossary spells out the distinction.
