Broker credentials
Broker credentials is where a brokerage tracks that every agent's real-estate license and E&O (Errors & Omissions) insurance are current — and gets nudged before either lapses. An agent working on an expired license, or without current E&O coverage, is a real liability for the brokerage, so this surface exists to keep that from slipping through.
Open it from the Compliance desk (Compliance → Credentials). It's a brokerage-level view for brokers and admins.
What it shows
For each active agent in your brokerage, one row with both credentials:
- License — the license number, state, expiration date, and how many days are left.
- E&O insurance — the carrier, policy number, coverage amount, expiration date, and days left.
Each credential carries a simple status:
- Valid — current, with comfortable runway.
- Expiring — inside the warning window (about two months out).
- Expired — past its date.
- Missing — no date on file yet.
This is read straight from each agent's record — it's the single source of truth for these facts, not a separate copy — so keeping a license or policy up to date anywhere it's edited keeps this view accurate.
Keeping E&O current
Brokers can update an agent's E&O details (carrier, policy number, coverage, expiration) right here, so the brokerage's record stays accurate as policies renew.
Expiration nudges
You don't have to remember to check this page. Realm runs a quiet daily scan and, when an agent's license or E&O is within about a month of expiring (or has just lapsed), it drops a notification to the brokerage's broker(s) with a link straight to this surface. It's an ambient nudge, not a modal — a heads-up so you can renew before it becomes a problem.
The nudge is deliberately not naggy: a given agent-and-credential is re-notified at most once every couple of weeks, so a known-soon expiration doesn't flood the notifications feed.
